My Top 5 Summer Lippys!

I have to admit i'm not a bright lip kinda gal but these are my 5 exceptions which i absolutely adore wearing throughout the summer months, i think a bright lip colour can brighten your complexion instantly which i definitely need! I love to see what lip colours others are loving so i can branch out and discover more, so i hope you enjoy xx

L-R, L'Oreal Caresse - Aphrodite Scarlett, Barry M Lip Paint - Shade 54, Rimmel Lasting Finish - Indulgence, Collection - Bubblegum, Sleek Pout Polish - Electro Peach.

L'Oreal Caresse - Aphrodite Scarlett...
Don't be fooled by the colour in the bullet because its a much more sheered out version of that which i love because it's so easy to just throw in my bag and go, i'm far to lazy to be messing around with high maintenance lip colours. I'm sure we've all heard the buzz around this product it's glossy and moisturizing and still a lovely bright colour so i think this is just perfect for the summer.

Barry M Lip Paint - Shade 54...
The complete opposite of what i usually go for but i LOVE this colour, i think orange lip colours are so cool and they seem to suit all skin tones, this is such a neon lip colour and it's really opaque so one layer will do. It's a matte lip stick so obviously much more of a statement than the others but sometimes when i'm not feeling so daring i'll apply this lightly and put a lip balm over the top, this gives the same orange POW but it's just more toned down, also we don't want to be applying lippy all day throughout the summer so this is great because for me once it's on it is on.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick - Indulgence...
This lipstick is seriously bright!! It smells like vanilla to me which isn't unpleasant at all, it has quite a satiny finish which is lovely because i don't like bright and glossy lips personally but i think it's nice to have a slight sheen to it, a lovely bright pink colour, it's just the epitome of hot pink to me which is really lovely and summery, provides a really opaque finish and completely changes the direction of an outfit for me making it automatically look fresh and summery.

Collection Lasting Colour - Bubblegum...
Okay so i'm still confused on the Collection/Collection 2000 deal but ah well, this lipstick is up there with my all time top 3 it's gorgeous, it's coming up more lilac in my pictures but it's a baby pink shade with blue undertones which makes it look more lilac but it's stunning. Another opaque slightly matte lipstick with a really low price tag, it just really seems to compliment my skin so i love wearing it.

Sleek Pout Polish - Electro Peach...
These smell really yummy they have a vanilla scent to them HOWEVER they taste vile (i don't eat it) provides a sheer peachy colour and it's really moisturizing, another thing that makes it a perfect summer product is the SPF of 15, believe it or not the sun can be very damaging to your lips so this is such a good factor. Although it's sheer the colour is still amazing and it stains the lips slightly so you don't have to constantly reapply.

So these are my summer lip picks, i hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading,

Sally Hansen Diamond 12Hr Lip Treatment

On a recent journey into town i picked up a few goodies because i was feeling a little bit down in the dumps, i was in Savers which is a UK discount health & beauty store i guess? But i picked up a pack (tongue twister) of these 2 Sally Hansen lip glosses which were around £3 - what a bargain!
Upper - Veiled
Lower - Twinkle

Packaging...
They're in your bog standard lipgloss tubey thingys? And the design on the lid makes them look quite sleek and it goes with the diamond theme.

Consistency...
What i love about these lip glosses is how thick they are, they really do last on my lips which is so rare, 12 hours is an exaggeration but they last a good few hours before you have to reapply, the problem some of you may have is that they're slightly sticky but i personally don't find them too bad at all. They're also really smooth on the lips and you can't feel the glitter at all.

Colours...
So i got these shades because i play it safe with lip gloss and they're lovely nude colours, Veiled is more of a peachy rose shade which i think would look amazing on darker skin and Twinkle is a baby pink with stunning silver and blue glitters which make the
teeth appear whiter.

Left - Veiled
Right - Twinkle
Application...
Most lip glosses come with the sponge on a stick (as i like to call them) applicators but this is a small brush instead which i much prefer, it allows me to get a nice precise application and this looks great when applied in downwards motions because it makes my lips appear much fuller - which is always a plus!

Overall this lip gloss does an amazing job, leaves my lips incredibly glossy, not too sticky and they're super duper affordable, i highly recommend you pick them up, I believe Sally Hansen is more readily available in the US but you can get these in savers in the UK so pick them up!
